Members of Hamden Hall's Fiber Arts Club sent 31 handmade scarves to the Red Scarf Project, which distributes them to college students who had been in foster care.
Each scarf has a personal message letting the recipient know that someone cares about their success. All the scarves, which were kitted or crocheted by students and faculty, had some red to carry out the project's theme.
Senior Di Lu coordinated the initiative. Spanish teacher Nuria Mateos is the club's advisor.
Hamden Hall Country Day School is a nurturing and inclusive community with a dynamic learning environment that promotes academic excellence by understanding each child and fostering their individual growth.
