The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team traveled for an afternoon game against Greens Farms Academy on Tuesday, April 23, winning 13-3.
Sophomore and starting pitcher Nic Scillia took the mound for the Hornets, striking out four players and allowing no walks through five innings. Freshman AJ Park closed out the game as the relief pitcher.
At the plate, sophomore Billy Cole was 3-for-4 with a double in the second, third, and fourth inning. Senior Ryan Lynch doubled in the second inning and junior Asher Wasserman singled, allowing runs to score. Senior Will McGarry and sophomore Amato Civitello collected three hits for the team.
The team also won its previous game against Greenwich Country Day School on Saturday, April 20, with a score of 9-0. Coach Brad Chernovetz noted that the season record is now 14-1 overall and 9-0 in FAA.
The Hornets take on Fairchester Athletic Association League rival Brunswick School on Thursday, April 25, at 4:30 p.m.
