The Co-Ed Varsity Swimming Team welcomed Williams School and Kingswood-Oxford for a home meet at the Beckerman Athletic Center Natatorium on Wednesday, January 24, with the Boys’ and Girls’ teams winning both sets.
For the Boys’ Team, junior Anthony Ferneini placed first in both the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:08.57 and the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:10.50. Senior Connor Jermain placed first in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 23.07 followed by eighth-grader Gavin Giordano in second with a time of 24.32.
For the Girls’ Team, senior Mason Rickey, sophomore Julia Scalmani, freshman Alessandra Sticca, and eighth-grader Teagan Bird placed first in the 200-Yard Medley Relay with a time of 2:20.72. Eighth-grader Vivian Martin placed third in the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:41.36.
The Boys’ Team won 107-23 against Williams School and 84-74 against Kingswood-Oxford. Their overall record is now 5-1. The Girls’ Team won 98-46 against Williams School and 81-79 against Kingswood-Oxford. Their overall record is now 2-4.
The team takes on Fairchester Athletic Association League rival Hopkins School at home on Wednesday, January 31, at 4 p.m.
