Carol Wihlemina Jenkins-Bozeman, Past Parent

Hamden Hall Past Parent, Carol Wihlemina Jenkins-Bozeman, died on January 22 in Englewood, NJ. She was 87 years old. Carol is survived by hers son alumnus Wendell Jenkins, Hamden Hall Class of 1977, her stepson Troy Bozeman, and a host of family and friends.

Carol graduated from Hillhouse High school in New Haven in 1954 and attended The City College of New York.  After graduation, Carol moved to Brooklyn where she worked as an insurance underwriter at several large insurance companies including Cigna & Marsh McLennan for over 40 years. Retiring in 2001. She kept busy after retiring by volunteering in local Special Olympics events. 

A Celebration of Life for Carol will be held on Monday, January 29 at the Nesbitt Funeral Home, 175 Englewood Ave., Englewood NJ. Visitation will be held 3 to 4 p.m., with the Celebration of Life following from 4 to 5 p.m. A Repass will be held at 5 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza in Englewood.

The Hamden Hall community will keep Wendell and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
