Joseph A. Miceli served as an Electronics Technician, 2nd Class, in the United States Navy from 1984 to 1990. He was stationed aboard the USS Klakring (FFG-42) and served during Operation Desert Storm. During his six years in the Navy, Joe did two Persian Gulf tours and one Mediterranean cruise.
After being honorably discharged, Joe enrolled in the mechanical engineering program at the University of Connecticut. He received his master's degree in mathematics from Central Connecticut State University and is a math teacher at Plainville High School. Joe also serves as a football referee in the Central Connecticut Association of Football Officials and is currently enrolled at CCSU to obtain a Sixth-Year Certificate in Mathematics Education Leadership.
Joe is married to Hamden Hall Director of Communications Dawn Miceli and the couple have one son, Jake, who is a Hamden Hall graduate, Class of 2019.
