Thomas Butler, Former Faculty and Past Parent
Former faculty member Thomas Butler, 77, passed away on January 2 in Ithaca, N.Y. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Joyce Ryan, and his son, Nick, who is a Hamden Hall alumnus of the Class of 2000.
Tom was a longtime member of our faculty, starting his tenure under the pines in 1985 until his retirement in 2010. He served with distinction in a number of teaching and administrative roles, including history teacher, advisor, chair of the History Department, academic dean, and coach.
