Class of 2005 alumnus Christopher “Chris” Wang assists clients in sourcing new investment opportunities across the office, industrial, and multifamily sectors in the commercial real estate business for Parkway in Miami, Fla.
Parkway is a fully diversified real estate investment, operations, and management firm. Assuming the role in 2022, Chris serves as the managing director of Investments and Acquisitions. He primarily focuses on commercial real estate acquisitions and ground-up development.
“The commercial real estate market is quite challenging and rewarding, especially since the pandemic,” said Chris. “As more employees are working from home, there is a higher demand for residential housing and office buildings adding residential apartments. While challenging at times, the current market presents incredible opportunities to reimage real estate, which is where I specialize in my new pursuits.”
Following Hamden Hall, Chris enrolled in The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, finance, and marketing.
Reflecting on his time at Hamden Hall, Chris credits his preparation for college and beyond in part to the impactful teachers, small classes, and challenging classes. He noted that he has many fond memories of his time at Hamden Hall, and he makes time to travel back to Orange to visit his family and reconnect with his classmates. He said he’s excited to return to campus for his 20th class reunion in June.
Outside of work, Chris and his girlfriend, Kristine, enjoy spending quality time together at home with their 10-year-old dachshund named “Brown Dog.” Together, they revel in the warm weather of Miami as they enjoy outdoor activities including biking, working out at the gym, and watching live NBA games cheering on the Miami Heat.
