  • Sports Camps - Rising Grade 2-10 (Skiff Street Campus)

Our Sports Camps strive to develop the whole athlete in your child.  In each weekly session, campers improve their skill level and develop the confidence needed to attain a high level of success.  With our variety of offerings, your child has the unique opportunity to participate in other sports activities and, by doing so, promote better physical development as a result of this exposure.  Whether you choose one sport or more than one, your child will receive instruction from qualified coaches with years of experience working with children.

All of our Sports Camps are in session from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The camps utilize the fields and athletic facilities at our Skiff Street Athletic Complex.  This includes our heated pool at the Beckerman Athletic Center.  Each day, campers should bring their own snack, lunch, water, bathing suit, and towel.  Also, please check the camp descriptions listed below to make sure that your child is properly equipped for that particular camp.  For outdoor sports in which cleats are used, campers should also bring a pair of sneakers to be used for indoor activities during periods of inclement weather.

If you have any questions relating to our Sports Camps, please contact Joe Fontana, Sports Camp Director (jfontana@hamdenhall.org)

Please be aware that every precaution is taken by our staff to avoid situations that may be dangerous to your child.  However, unforeseen and unpredictable circumstances may arise that may expose your child to inherent risks associated with the sport in which he/she is participating.

  • Upper School - Credit Courses - Rising 9-12 (Main Campus)

    Summer Academy 2025

Our strength at Hamden Hall Summer Academy is our small class size. Our courses provide students with the chance to work closely with qualified teachers who aim to help equip students with the skills, attitude, and the independence necessary to master whatever stage they are at in the educational process.

Have a question? Interested in world language courses? Contact us at summeracademy@hamdenhall.org.

    Credit Courses

Any student who wishes to receive credit for a Summer Academy course should contact the Summer Academy office and request that a transcript be sent to their school. Please be aware that the decision to award credit is made by the school which the student attends during the regular school year.

*Eligible Hamden Hall students may also take selected courses for credit.

Successful completion of a credit course allows a Hamden Hall student to advance to the next level of the course in September. It does not reduce the number of courses to be taken that year.

    * Departmental permission required prior to registration.

  • Registration

Please register for the programs you wish by filling out the online registration form and your credit card payment.  As part of the registration process, you will also be completing the required parent consent forms.  You will also be given the option to purchase registration insurance.  All registrations and payments will be processed online.
  • Medical Information

In order to meet state standards and insurance requirements, each attendee must submit a copy of a physical examination completed within the past three years.  The completed form needs to be received by our office at least two weeks prior to the first day of attendance.  If needed by your physician, the Youth Camp Health Exam/Record is available in the download section of our website.  Please email the completed form to nurse@hamdenhall.org.  Please do not mail forms.

If your child needs medication administered or has allergies and needs medication stored in case of a reaction, please bring the medication on the first day of attendance and give the medication to our nurse.  If your child is to receive medication, your treating physician must complete the State Medication Release Form.  This form can be obtained from your school health office and can also be downloaded from our website.  Please do not send medication each day for your child to hold.  All medication must be directed to the nurse.

For the safety of your child, we are required to have on file a child's health record to include information regarding disabilities or special health care needs such as allergies, special dietary needs, dental problems, hearing or visual impairments, chronic illness, developmental variations, or history of contagious disease, and an individual plan of care for a child with special health care needs or disabilities.  The plan of care is developed by the child’s healthcare provider and the child’s parents.  The Individual Plan of Care Form can be downloaded from our website.  The front page of the form is to be completed by the parents and submitted to the nurse by the first day of attendance at camp.

We will make every effort to contact the parent/emergency contact in the event that your child is too ill to remain during the day or sustains an injury that requires more in-depth medical treatment.

  • Lunch/Snacks

For all of our attendees, lunch and snack items must be brought from home.  A juice box, a piece of fruit, some cookies all make appropriate snacks that may be consumed in a short amount of time!  Only non-perishable foods should be used in your child's lunch; a frozen pack may be included.  A frozen juice box works well and then can be consumed as it thaws.  Hamden Hall is a NUT-FREE campus.
  • Cancellation Policy

Any program may be canceled because of insufficient enrollment, in which case, the registration fee would be refunded in full.

There are no refunds if you cancel your registration.  Registration Insurance is available when you register your child online.  Please read the insurance offering for information regarding coverage and exclusions.
