Alum and past parent Lloyd Ayer, Class of 1947, died on November 5, 2018. Lloyd was the father of Holly Ayer Malloy, Class of 1973, Heidi Ayer Yanavich, Class of 1975, and Glenn Ayer, Class of 1978. Lloyd is also survived by his sister, also an alum, Anita Ayer McCoy, Class of 1951.

Past Parent and Past Grandparent Louise Garvey has died. Louise was the mother of alum Leslie Garvey-Schwab, Class of 1980 and grandmother of alum Dennis Hicks, Class of 2012. She is also survived by her daughter, Hamden Hall staff member Lee Anne Hicks.

Maizy Dolven died on October 28, 2018 in Worthington, Ohio. She was the mother of Hamden Hall alums Peter Dolven, Class of 1979, and Jessica Dolven Ott, Class of 1988. The Hamden Hall Community extends sincere condolences to the Dolven family.

Funeral services will be held in Ohio later this week. A service is being planned for Connecticut in the spring of 2019. We will post details as we get them.

Dr. Herbert Kleber died on October 5, 2018. He was the father of alum Elizabeth Kleber, Ph.D., Class of 1975. Son Marc Kleber and daughter Pamela Kleber Shad also attended Hamden Hall circa 1970s. Dr, Kleber also served as Hamden Hall's school psychiatrist for several years.
