Educating students in PreSchool through Grade 12

The Lower School Experience

The Hamden Hall Experience begins at the elementary school level in our Lower School and encompasses all that is truly unique to our school community. We are a family of students, parents, faculty, and staff who care deeply about each other and our school. Moreover, we have made a commitment to instilling a love of learning in every student.

The backbone of any school is its academic program. Hamden Hall prides itself on the breadth and depth of educational opportunities it offers. Our program is also defined by the relationship faculty has with students.

Experience A Day In Our Classrooms

"Our weekly assemblies help students develop a sense of belonging amid an enriching environment. Whether it's a performance by our Lower School handbell choir or an external cultural arts program, students experience yet another opportunity to grow, learn, and be inspired."

-Lorri Carroll, Director of Lower School
Educational Halls

Our Lower School is a division of curious, passionate, talented, and creative students guided by faculty who use their wealth of experience and enthusiasm to create a learning environment within a culture of possibility.

From our Early Childhood gardeners to our sixth-grade performers, our initiatives continually inspire students and foster individual growth, self-knowledge, and social responsibility. Our mission is to develop confident students with adept young minds who have a deeper understanding and appreciation of the global village and their place in it.
