Claire Rich, of Hamden, died suddenly on October 20. Claire is survived by her husband, fellow Hamden Hall faculty member, Bruce Rich, and her alumni children, Nolan Rich, Class of 2009 and Ellen Rich Mayer, Class of 2010, and her new granddaughter, Nora Mayer.
John M. Garfield, of Hanover, N.H., died on September 21. He is the husband of Sylvia Garfield. His son, Andrew Garfield is a Hamden Hall alumnus, Class of 1982.
Gabriella "Gaby" Hebert, Class of 1979, passed away on August 20 after a courageous battle with cancer. She had been predeceased by her husband, Tom Benedict.
Kendra "Kandi" Riccio, wife of alumnus Marc Riccio, Class of 1973, and sister-in-law of alumnus and Hamden Hall Trustee Dr. David Riccio, Class of 1970 died peacefully, surrounded by family, on August 9 at Smilow Cancer Hospital of Yale/New Haven Health.
Longtime automotive executive and Hamden Hall supporter and friend David M. McDermott of Palm Beach, Fla., and Essex, Conn., died peacefully on July 17 at the age of 87.
Bill Polinsky, Hamden Hall Class of 1958, of Harwinton, died peacefully on July 16, after a quick decline with dementia. He leaves behind his four children: Eric, Mark, Bill, and Sarah, and his six grandchildren, two of which attended Hamden Hall.
Edward W. Angiollo, Sr., 86, of Branford passed away peacefully on June 21, at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Rose Vastola Angiollo.
Gretchen Ann Kamp Wolf died peacefully at home on May 29th at the age of 74. Gretchen is survived by her husband of 44 years, Drew Wolf, Hamden Hall Class of 1973, her sister Betsey Kamp Park, Hamden Hall Class of 1966, her brother Hon. Michael Kamp, three children, and four grandchildren.
Wilma R. Russell Merrill, Hamden Hall Class of 1957, of Sandwich, Mass., passed away unexpectedly on April 27 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. She was 84.
John F. Baesch, of South Baltimore, an Army veteran and retired CSX and Amtrak executive, died Nov. 14, of heart failure. He was 78. John is survived by his wife of 20 years, Hamden Hall alumna Evelyn Herzog, Class of 1965.
Stephen M. Babbitz of Orange, died on February 23 at the age of 81. He is survived by his daughter, Mara Babbitz Ginsberg, Hamden Hall Class of 1985 alumna and past parent, son David, Hamden Hall Class of 1986, several grandchildren, two of whom are Hamden Hall alumni, Nicholas Ginsberg, Class of 2010, and Abigail Ginsberg, Class of 2011, two great grandchildren, and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Susan, whom he married in 1964.
Peter Moschetto Jr. of Middletown, Conn., formerly of Mohawk, NY, died on November 30 at the age of 53 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was the father of Hamden Hall student, Nathan Moschetto, Class of 2030.
Hamden Hall Past Parent Martha Elizabeth (Crocker) Dobrowolski of Ridgefield, Conn, a longtime resident of New Haven, Conn, died peacefully on January 10, 2024 at Danbury Hospital, following a brief illness. She was 94.
Richard H. Ezold Sr. of Branford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on January 5, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. He was 85.
Jane Sbarra died on January 1. She was predeceased by her second husband Patrick Sbarra. She is survived by three children. Her son John D. Greenawalt Sr. is a Hamden Hall faculty member. Her grandson, John D. Greenawalt Jr. is a Hamden Hall alumnus, Class of 2008.
