Alumna Earns Rowing Kudos
Josie Maynard, Hamden Hall Class of 2015, had an exciting time at the NCAA's this spring representing Williams College where Josie just completed her sophomore year. Josie’s boat, 2V, came in third, and Williams earned second place in the overall championship, losing by just one point to Bates. Thus Josie came home with two trophies. In 15 appearances in the NCAA's, Williams has ranked in the top three 13 times and won nine times. Rowing for Williams requires practice six days a week during the fall and spring seasons and also requires practice during the winter (off season). Josie’s other accomplishments this year include making the NESCAC All Academic team and earning the NERC All Scholar award that recognizes the student-athlete in each program that has the highest cumulative GPA.
