Boys’ Varsity Wrestling Dominates the Mat
The Boys’ Varsity Wrestling Team welcomed Stony Brook Academy, Storm King School, and New York Military Academy for a tri-meet at the Beckerman Athletic Center on Saturday, January 11.
Taking the mat, the team wrestled well against Stony Brook, winning the match with a score of 34-12. The team won the second match against Storm King with a score of 33-12, but fell to New York Military Academy with a score of 52-18.
Coach Kiernan Griffin 2000 noted that the young team is progressing well as sophomores Carmine Cariati and Gavin Giugno were both 3-0 for the day.
The team returns to the mat for a dual against Avon Old Farms on Wednesday, January 15, at 3:30 p.m.
