The Girls’ Varsity Tennis Team won its match against Holy Child on Tuesday, May 9, with a score of 6-1.
In the singles match, sophomore Theodora Aslan won her set with a score of 8-4. Junior Rachel Danishevsky won her set with a score of 8-0. Senior Vanessa Gold won her set with a score of 8-2.
In the doubles match, junior Annabel Beatty and freshman Addison Lewis won their set with a score of 8-3. Freshmen Linda Chen and Grace Yang won their set with a score of 8-2. Eighth-grader Zhanna Milani and seventh-grader Anna Aslan won their set 8-0.
Coach Bob Scarella noted that the team improved its record to 8-4 overall.
The team also won its match against Canterbury School on Monday, May 8, with a score of 5-2.
The Hornets return to the court for a match against Wilbraham & Monson Academy on Saturday, May 13, at 2 p.m.
