Home Field Win for Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse
The Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse Team welcomed Portledge School for a non-league game on Monday, April 14, winning 8-3.
Taking the field at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex, the team was fired up and ready to play. The Hornets took the lead in the first quarter with great team defense and never looked back. Junior and goalie Caden Christopher had great saves in the net to secure the final win.
“The team methodically built a lead right out of the gate and even held Portledge scoreless for a stretch of over 29 minutes,” noted Coach Kiernan Griffin 2000.
The team stays home for a game against Fairchester Athletic Association League rival Greenwich Country Day School on Thursday, April 17, at 4:30 p.m.
