Alex Wells 2009 Talks Medicine at Hamden Hall

Jodi Amatulli
Alexandria "Alex" Wells, Hamden Hall Class of 2009, recently discussed her path to study medicine with students at an Upper School student assembly. Alex went to Howard University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in human performance with a concentration in sports medicine. She then went to Rutgers-UMDNJ and completed a master's in biomedical science while applying to medical school. Alex was accepted into several schools and decided to return to Howard University College of Medicine. She is completing her third year of medical school and will pursue a career in OB/GYN after graduation. Outside of the classroom, Alex volunteers her time speaking on panels and making presentations to high school students about how to pursue a career in medicine. We thank Alex for coming back to Hamden Hall and sharing her experiences and wish her the best of luck! We thank Tom Iampietro (aka "Mr. I") for keeping it touch with Alex and making it all happen!
