Warren Belt, Captain, U.S. Navy 1980 - 2006

Captain Warren Belt served 22 years of active duty after graduating from the Naval Academy. Working in all classes of submarines on both coasts, he spent six months on USS Annapolis in the Arabian Gulf with Tomahawk missiles during Operation Vigilant Thunder. He also commanded USS Alaska in Seattle, and launched the first Trident D-5 Backfit missle from Cape Canaveral, FL.

Warren is the father of Madeline Belt 2012. When he was making a key retirement decision, Maddie's staying at Hamden Hall played an important part in the final outcome.
