Winter Student-Athletes Earn Postseason Awards

As the 2024-2025 Winter sports season has come to a close, a plethora of our Varsity student-athletes have been honored and recognized by the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) and the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) for their outstanding athletic performance.

"We had another fantastic winter season winning two New England Championships and another runner up,” said Director of Athletics David Doyle. “Our students worked very hard during the season and that hard work paid off.  We are extremely proud of all our winter teams and athletes."

The Co-ed Varsity Swimming and Diving Team won both the Connecticut Independent School Athletic Conference (CISAC) Championships and the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Division III Championship under Coach Jen Lyman. The Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team won the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class C Championship under Coach Brian Johnson. The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team advanced to the final game of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Championship under Coach Sean Doherty. The Boys’ Varsity Ice Hockey Team advanced to the semifinal game of the Fairchester Athletic Association Conference under new coach Dante Tomassini.

Student Athlets and the Awards:

· Senior Anthony Ferneini earned FAA All-League and All-NEPSAC

· Senior Eric Huang earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention and All-NEPSAC

·  Junior Tyler Tagliarini earned FAA All-League and All-NEPSAC

·  Freshman Gabrial Andrews earned FAA All-League and All-NEPSAC

·  Seventh grader Russell Clune earned FAA All-League and All-NEPSAC.

·  Junior Julia Scalmani earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention and All-NEPSAC

·  Senior Parker Jones, sophomores Paxon Campbell, Alessandra Sticca, freshmen Angelina Nicotra, Josephine Nictora, eighth grader Blake Zeitlin, and seventh grader Arianna Angarita all earned All-NEPSAC.

· Senior Mackenzie Mori earned FAA All-League 1st Team, All-NEPSAC, and was selected for the NEPSAC All-Star Team.

· Senior Emma Olausson earned FAA All-League 1st Team, All- NEPSAC, selected for the NEPSAC All-Star Team and named Class C Championship MVP

·Junior Reilly Chernovetz earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention, All-NEPSAC, and was selected for the NEPSAC All-Star Team.

· Senior Summer Krajcir and junior Tessa Porch earned All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention.

·  Senior Ben Miller earned FAA All-League 1st Team and All-NEPSAC

· Sophomore Christian Cournoo earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention and All-NEPSAC

·  Senior Jaden Iannaccone earned All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention

· Junior Vincenzo Federico earned FAA All-League 1st Team

· Sophomore Chris Tombaugh earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention

· Freshman Trin Sukduang earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention
