Joan Rice Douglas Gordon, Hamden Hall alumna from the Class of 1945, died on July 1, 2024, in Jacksonville, Fla. She was 95.
Joan graduated from Hamden Hall at the age of 16 and went on to graduate from Albertus Magnus in 1949. She went to work at Yale in the College of Business Dean's office where she met her future husband Charles. They married in 1952 and had four children. Charles died in 1979 and Joan married her second husband, Louis John Gordon in 1983.
She is survived by three of her four children, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
