Boys’ Varsity Basketball Victorious Against Opponent
The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team traveled to the Bancroft School for an away game on Friday, January 10, winning 79-70.
Taking the court, sophomore Christian Cournoo led the team with 22 points as senior Ben Miller was right behind with 21 points. Senior Jaden Iannaccone and junior Amato Civitello netted a combined 23 points to secure the final win.
“We started the game off in a close competition, but it was evident from the start that hustle plays would win us the game,” said Christian. “Although we only truly pulled away in the last minute, the energy was there the entire game, and we pulled away with the win.”
Coach Sean Doherty noted that the team came out with great energy and everyone had a great performance on the court.
