New Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse Coach Named
Hamden Hall parent and Girls’ Varsity Field Hockey Coach Danielle Pannone has been named the new Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse Coach for the upcoming spring season. She also is the head coach at Dewlex Lacrosse Club.
"We are excited to bring Coach Pannone in this spring to take over our Girls' Varsity Lacrosse Team," said Director of Athletics David Doyle. "She brings a strong knowledge of the game and many years of coaching experience at the high school and collegiate levels. We are confident she will do a great job."
Prior to joining Hamden Hall last fall, Coach Pannone worked at the collegiate level as the assistant coach for the Girls’ Lacrosse Team at Sacred Heart University. Under her leadership, the team won its first undefeated conference-regular season since 2012 and went on to their fourth appearance in the D1 NCAA playoffs. Coach Pannone was named 2023 NEC Coaching Staff of the Year along with two other coaches. Before Sacred Heart University, Coach Pannone served as the head coach of both the Women’s Field Hockey and Lacrosse teams at Albertus Magnus College for two seasons.
Coach Pannone began her coaching career in 2012 as the head coach of the North Branford Middle School Field Hockey Team and later joined the Girls’ Lacrosse Team at North Branford High School as an assistant in 2016. She held those two positions until 2019 when she left to pursue other opportunities. In 2020, she went on to become the head junior varsity and assistant varsity coach for field hockey at North Haven High School and head Girls’ Lacrosse coach at Bunnell High School in Stratford, Conn., for two seasons.
Since 2014, Coach Pannone has given back to her North Branford community as she donates her time to coaching youth lacrosse and field hockey camps. Additionally, she has maintained her five-year coaching certification over the last 12 years.
