Rival Showdown Victory for Boys’ Varsity Basketball
The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team traveled crosstown for a game against Fairchester Athletic Association League rival Hopkins School on Monday, February 3, winning 74-62.
It was a back-and-forth game between the Hornets and the Hilltoppers. Senior Ben Miller led the way with 31 points while sophomores Caleb Chapman and Christian Cournoo netted a combined 23 points. The second half of the game saw action from senior Jaden Iannaccone, junior Amato Civitello, sophomore Justin Ocasio, and eighth-grader Massa Toure.
“Great night for the team as each player contributed to the overall win,” said Coach Sean Doherty.
The team returns to the court for an away game against St. Luke’s School on Wednesday, February 5, at 4:30 p.m.
