Hot Streak for Boys’ Varsity Baseball

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team welcomed Fairchester Athletic Association League rival King School for a game on Friday, April 4, winning 7-0 in a shutout.

Taking the field at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex, junior Amato Civitello took the mound, striking out eight players and only allowing two hits through six innings. Junior Billy Cole closed out the game in the seventh inning with two strikeouts and no earned hits.

At the plate, Amato also found success with one run and one RBI. Senior Logan Charboneau went 3-for-4 with one RBI and a home run and sophomore Jey Scanlon had one hit and two runs. Sophomore Leo Dottori had one run as fellow sophomore Sean Raymond had one hit.

Coach Brad Chernovetz noted that the team record is now 4-0 for league play.
