Girls’ Varsity Tennis Edges Out Competition

The Girls’ Varsity Tennis Team hosted Holy Child School at the James R. Maggart Tennis Courts on Monday, April 14, winning in a 7-0 shutout.

In the singles match, sophomore Rebecca Danishevsky won her set in the first position with a score of 8-4. Senior Theodora Aslan won her set in the second position with a score of 8-3, junior Addie Lewis won her set in the third position with a score of 8-0, and junior Shalani Sign won her set in the fourth position with a score of 8-2.

In the doubles match, sophomore Zhanna Milani and freshman Anna Aslan won their set with a score of 8-5. Junior Grace Yang and junior Linda Chen won their set in the second position with a score of 8-2 as freshman Nala Annes and junior Julia Bryan won their set in the third position with a score of 8-6.

“I am proud of the team’s effort so far throughout the season,” said Coach Bob Scarella.

The team stays home for a match against Greenwich Country Day School on Wednesday, April 16, at 4:30 p.m.
