'Grease' Cast Garners Visit from Broadway Performer

Broadway performer Keven Quillon showed off his dance moves and choreographed a number for Grease, the Upper School musical currently in production, during a guest appearance over the weekend.

Quillon is a college friend of music teacher Matt Harrison. The two attended James Madison University together and sang in an a cappella group there.

“It was certainly an amazing treat to see him work with our talented kids,”said Mr. Harrison.

Grease is somewhat old hat for Quillon as he has played Roger, Doody, and Sonny at different times in the most recent revival of the show on Broadway. He was also the dance captain and helped set the tour and cast, as well as teaching the replacements when they joined the show on Broadway.

For Hamden Hall’s production, Quillon choreographed the iconic song and dance number Summer Nights. The show will feature 50 students and hits the stage March 2 through 5.

When he’s not working with our talented students, Quillon is rehearsing for Broadway’s newest show, Bandstand, which opens in April.
