Gary Greenberg Writes a Song!

Jodi Amatulli
Classmates and pals of Gary Greenberg, Class of 1982, know he’s a funny guy—lead writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live. But did you also know he’s turned songwriter? Thanks to his mother, Marlene, Hamden Hall got wind of Gary’s latest accomplishment! Gary’s tune gained national recognition when it was nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics category. Although he didn’t win, the nomination alone was thrilling enough for his mother and father, Neil, to join Gary and his wife, Jeannie, at the awards celebration in Los Angeles in September. The song is titled The Ballad of Claus Jorstad (Devil Stool) and is about a guy from Norway who buys a shower stool that, well, doesn't quite work out. What?! Congrats Gary!
