The Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team faced off against Fairchester Athletic Association League rival Hopkins School on Monday, February 3, winning 54-15.
Taking the court, the Lady Hornets opened the game with strong defensive plays and continued dominating both defensively and offensively throughout the whole game. The top players of the game included senior Mackenzie Mori who earned the title of Most Valuable Player, senior Emma Olausson who earned Lady of the Board with the most points scored, junior Reilly Chernovetz, and sophomore Andrea Crump.
Coach Brian Johnson noted that the season record has improved to 11-5 overall. The team travels to Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., for an away game against Masters School on Saturday, February 8, at 5:30 p.m.
