Boys’ Varsity Basketball Advances to NEPSAC Semifinals
The Boys’ Varsity Basketball welcomed Portsmouth Abbey School for the quarterfinal game of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Tournament on March 5 winning 83-60. The team now advances to the semifinals.
Taking the court at the Beckerman Athletic Center, senior Ben Miller led the way with 28 points followed by sophomore Christian Cournoo with 18 points. Other scorers included junior Amato Civitello, sophomores Justin Ocasio and David Tvardzik, and eighth grader Massa Toure.
“The guys came out great offensively in the first half and we made all the big hustle plays to come out with the win,” said Coach Sean Doherty.
The team returns to the court at the Beckerman Athletic Center for the semifinal game against Bancroft School on Saturday, March 8, at 1:15 p.m.
