Girls’ Varsity Basketball Named NEPSAC Champions
The Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team have been named the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Tournament Class C Champions following its game against Kimball Union Academy on Sunday, March 9.
Taking the court at The Loomis Chaffee School, the Lady Hornets were ready to play. It was a back-and-forth effort all game, but the team secured the final victory with a score of 48-35. Seniors Mackenize Mori and Emma Olausson led the way with points scored on the board. Other top performances included juniors Reilly Chernovetz and Tessa Porch, sophomore Alexa Huckaby, and eighth grader Samantha Boyd.
“What an incredible season this has been with such a special group of people,” said Coach Brian Johnson. “I am so proud of the hard work, effort, and sportsmanship each player has demonstrated all year. It has been an honor to coach this team.”
