PURPOSE
The purpose of the Hamden Hall Country Day School Athletic Hall of Fame is to acknowledge and celebrate the exceptional coaches, players, teams, and supporters of our athletic program who have made contributions both on the playing fields and in the community. The award recipients exemplify our school’s high athletic standards, and they will be honored for their legacy of hard work and commitment, dedication to teamwork, and impact on our school’s tradition of athletics.
ELIGIBILTY
Categories for the Athletic Hall of Fame induction are student-athlete, coach and/or administrator, team, and community contributor. To be eligible for induction, student- athletes must have graduated 10 years prior to the date of the award presentation event. Coaches eligible for induction must have a minimum of five years of leadership. Teams should mark a 10- year anniversary from the induction date. The voting committee, chaired by the Head of School and comprised of Hamden Hall administrators and staff, reserve the right to waive eligibility requirements. The committee is responsible for reviewing all nominations. Considerations for induction will include alumni who have attained outstanding recognition or superior accomplishments in any sport. Inductees may be chosen on that basis or playing ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character, and their contribution to the team or teams on which they played and to the life of the school community. Inductees may be chosen for their legacy of enhancing the school’s athletic programs, the life of their communities, or their professional accomplishments.
