The Boys’ Varsity Ice Hockey Team took the ice against Kingswood-Oxford School on Wednesday, February 8, to end with a 4-4 tie.
It was a back-and-forth effort between the Hornets and the Wyvern, but seventh-grader Ryan Holmes was quick on the attack scoring a goal in the first period while junior Danny Vining scored the second goal. In the final minute, Ryan scored again as freshman Joey Swan connected right after with the fourth and final goal to tie the game.
Coach Tim Belcher noted that the team improved their record to 3-6-1 in the Fairchester Athletic Association League.
The team returns to the ice at the Ralph Walker Ice Skating Rink against Fairfield Prep on Tuesday, February 14, at 6 p.m.
