Co-Ed Varsity Golf Wins First-Ever New England Championship
The Co-ed Varsity Golf Team placed first in the Kingswood Invitational Tournament/ New England Prep Championship on Wednesday, May 24, with a score of 385.
Taking the green at the Gillette Ridge Golf Course, the team competed against 25 schools including Phillips Exeter Academy, Deerfield Academy, Hotchkiss School, Avon Old Farms, and others. Sophomore North Chery posted 72 and was the medalist for the match. Senior Johnathan Halukowicz posted 74 and placed second among 125 golfers.
Other individual results include sophomore Phillip Kim with 78, seventh-grader Dashawna Aurora with 78, and senior Sophia Sarrazin with 83.
Coach Keith Kaliszewski noted that this year marks the first-ever win for the team in the New England Championship.
