The Girls’ Varsity Softball Team welcomed Marianopolis School for a non-league game on Saturday, April 15, winning 5-4.
Sophomore and starting pitcher Payton Collins had a solid game. Senior Daniela McGovern was 3-for-3 with base hits while sophomore Melanie Carling added to the scoreboard with an in-park home run. Sophomore Summer Krajcir had a bunt at the plate and landed a diving catch out in the field to help secure the final victory.
“It was a very good game all the way around,” commented Coach Laura Montone.
The team takes the field against Kingswood-Oxford School on Monday, April 17, at 4:30 p.m.
