The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team traveled to St. Luke’s School for an afternoon game on Monday, May 8, winning 6-2.
Freshman and starting pitcher Shaun Flannery pitched four strong innings, striking out five players and allowing only two hits. Junior Ryan Lynch pitched two innings and only gave up two hits. At the plate, junior Gavin Lyons and Shaun each had three hits for the Hornets. The team improves its record to 13-5.
The team won its previous game against Suffield Academy on Friday, May 5, with a score of 6-4. It was a special game as players Kaleb Cohen and Anish Dhawan were honored during the Senior Day celebration.
The team returns to the fields at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex for the final Fairchester Athletic Association League game of the season against Hopkins School on Wednesday, May 10, at 4:30 p.m.
