Season Opener Victory for Girls’ Varsity Basketball
The Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team welcomed Canterbury School for its opening game of the season on Tuesday, December 3, winning 73-36.
Taking the court at the Beckerman Athletic Center, the Hornets dictated the pace early and did not let up throughout the whole game. Senior Mackenzie Mori led the efforts with 16 points. Senior Emma Olausson netted 12 points and junior Reilly Chernovetz netted 10 points.
“The game was a nice team win with great energy and everyone participated in the win,” said Coach Brian Johnson.
The team returns to the court for a non-league weekend tournament against Lexington Christian Academy on Saturday, December 7 at 11 a.m.
