The 2016 Summer Engineering & Science Academy once again provided an educational opportunity to 32 Greater New Haven students not affiliated with our Hamden Hall community as part of the school's public purpose initiative.
The week-long program featured experiential learning in the STEM disciplines as guided by Hamden Hall faculty. Now in its sixth year, the program garnered more applications than ever before from rising fifth-, sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-graders.
Participants engaged in DNA technology, augmented reality coding, and a forensics lab that had students investigating a diamond burglary - among other topics and activities.
