In the Arts Department, academic experiences broaden individual talent and artistic abilities; stimulate creative processes; develop skills needed to accomplish curricular objectives; and offer opportunities to work with progressive, energetic faculty members who are also active, exhibiting artists, musicians, and actors.
In Visual Arts, we offer students options in studio areas, such as drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, graphic design, and illustration as well as Advanced Placement Art History. Study options also exist in the Independent Study and Senior Projects in New Media Arts, Mural Painting, and other new genres. Individual studio space is provided for the student who wishes to pursue advanced study, portfolio, or AP Studio Art.
