The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team welcomed Wheeler School for a game on Saturday, December 7, winning 73-66.
Taking the court at the Beckerman Athletic Center, senior Jaden Iannaccone led the game with 23 points. Senior Ben Miller added 21 points to the scoreboard while junior Amato Civitello netted 11 points.
“The game was intense and competitive from start to finish, pushing us to bring our best effort to earn the victory,” said sophomore Christian Cournoo. “It was a true test of our team's resilience and determination early in the season.”
The Hornets also won their previous game against Kent School with a score of 78-63 on Friday, December 6. The top scorers included Ben Miller, Christian Cournoo, and Amato Civitello.
"It was a great win as we played with a lot of energy and effort," said Amato. "Overall, it was a team effort as all members of the team contributed resulting in a great win.
Coach Sean Doherty noted that the team record is now 3-0 for the season.
The team returns to the court for a game against Eagle Hill School at the Beckerman Athletic Center on Monday, December 9, at 4 p.m.
