With the 2024 Fall Athletics season officially closed, a plethora of our Varsity student-athletes have been recognized with honors and awards for their outstanding performance to their sport by the Evergreen League, Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA), and the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC).
"We are all extremely proud of our fall athletes and their accomplishments,” said Director of Athletics David Doyle. “It is a testament to all of their hard work and dedication to their sport and the school.”
For Boys’ Varsity Football, senior Vlad Acosta earned Evergreen All-League; senior Qeanu Johnson earned Evergreen All-League and All-NEPSAC; and senior Asher Wasserman earned Evergreen All-League, NEPSAC All-League, and was named Evergreen Defensive Player of the Year. Senior Charlie Gulbin earned Evergreen All-League and All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention and sophomore Justin Ocasio earned Evergreen All-League and All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention. Seniors Tyler Sullivan and Chase Syombathy, junior Matthew Cooper, and sophomore Jey Scanlon all earned Evergreen All-League Honorable Mention.
For Boys’ Varsity Soccer, sophomore Anton Cruz earned FAA All-League 2nd Team and sophomore Leo Dottori earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention. Seniors Ayden Apotris and Tyrese Cedon were named Western New England All-Stars. For Girls’ Varsity Soccer, sophomore Mia Verderame earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention. Juniors Molly Romero and Kyla Welby were named Western New England All-Stars.
For Girls’ Varsity Volleyball, junior Tami Afolalu earned FAA All-League 2nd Team and All-NEPSAC. Senior Summer Krajcir earned All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention and junior Grace Yang earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention.
For Boys’ Varsity Water Polo, senior Anthony Ferneini and junior Heath Schwarz both earned All-NEPSAC. Junior Jack Cucchiarelli and eighth-grader Blake Zeitlin both earned All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention.
For Co-ed Varsity Cross Country, sophomores Lily Evans and Daniel Park earned All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention. For Girls’ Varsity Field Hockey, freshman Chloe Zebrowski earned All-NEPSAC.
