The Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team traveled for an away game against the Gunnery on Wednesday, December 11, winning 66-6.
Taking the court, the Lady Hornets were off to a strong start taking the lead in the first quarter and never looking back. Sophomore Alexa Huckaby scored 11 points as fellow sophomore Drea Crump scored 10 points. Other scorers included seniors Mackenzie Mori, Emma Olausson, and junior Reilly Chernovetz.
“It was a nice team win,” said Coach Brian Johnson. “The defensive symmetry is really starting to pick up.”
The team returns to the court for a weekend tournament at the Berkshire School against Kimball Union Academy on Saturday, December 14, at 5:30 p.m., and Northfield-Mt. Hermon on Sunday, December 15, at 1 p.m.
