Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team Slam Dunk to Victory
The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team traveled to Greens Farms Academy for a game on Wednesday, February 14, winning 72-59.
Senior Alex Prezioso led the team with 23 points as junior Ben Miller netted 13 points and freshman Caleb Chapman netted 9 points. The Hornets picked up steam in the second half with points scored by seniors Ethan Bessoni and Ryan Stratton, sophomore Amato Civitello, and freshman Christian Cournoo.
“We picked it up on the defensive end in the second half, which led to us gaining momentum on the offensive end,” said Alex. “This was a very important win heading into the end of the season.”
Coach Sean Doherty commented that the team had great energy and effort throughout the game.
The team stays on the road for a game against King School on Thursday, February 15, at 4:30 p.m.
