Summer Academy offers a variety of one to four week courses for students in grades PreK-6 and 9-12. This allows each student the opportunity to schedule a variety of activities during the summer months and still have time to spend with their family on vacation. Course descriptions include times, dates, grade levels, and tuition cost per section.
Course grade levels are for the grade that your child will be entering in the fall. For updates on course availability, or to discover new offerings which have been added to our catalog, please contact us at summeracademy@hamdenhall.org.
Adventures and Academics
For students entering grades K-6 we offer our Adventures and Academics program. Students enrolled in Adventures and Academics participate in a full day of activities starting with academic classes in the morning and adventures in the afternoon. Students engage in craft projects, outdoor activities, and team building games during the afternoons. Other activities include taking nature hikes at state parks.
Credit Classes
Any student who wishes to receive credit for a summer academy course should contact the summer academy office and request that a transcript be sent to his/her school. Please be aware that the decision to award credit is made by the school which the student attends during the regular school year.
*Eligible Hamden Hall students may also take selected courses for credit. Successful completion of a credit course allows a Hamden Hall student to advance to the next level of the course in September. It does not reduce the number of courses to be taken that year.
* Departmental permission required prior to registration.
