New Commercial Real Estate Opportunities with 2002 Alumnus

As the newest partner of the Real Estate Practice Group at Leech Tishman, Class of 2002 alumnus Jonathan Orell serves the needs of individual clients and businesses in the purchasing, financing, selling and development of commercial real estate properties throughout the United States, including low-income housing tax credit transactions.

 

Based in the New York office, Jon and his team handle all the encompassing aspects of the commercial real estate transactional lifecycle; specifically the acquiring, financing, developing, leasing, and selling interests for buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants. Understanding the market landscape and potential for new revenue opportunities, Jon serves as counsel for both lenders and borrowers in complex commercial lending transactions.  Jon also assists high net-worth clients in the purchase and sale of residential properties.

Jon graduated from the University of Vermont in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He went on to obtain his Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D) from Brooklyn Law School. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 2012 and the Connecticut Bar in 2013. Prior to joining Leech Tishman, Jon was a member at Berkowitz, Trager & Trager, LLC, in Westport, Conn. Jonathan has been named as a Super Lawyer Rising Star since 2017 and is the exclusive Connecticut real estate attorney for Global Law Experts and IR Global.

 

Jon and his wife Bailey live in Fairfield, Conn., with their two children, son Oliver and daughter Jolie.
