The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team took the court at the Beckerman Athletic Center against Greens Farms Academy for the Fairchester Athletic Association League quarterfinal game on Tuesday, February 20, winning 66-52.
The team was fired up as senior Ethan Bessoni came out strong scoring 16 points with fellow senior Mason Gorham right behind with 13 points. Seniors Alex Prezioso and Ryan Stratton and junior Ben Miller all kept the pressure on the opponents while adding points to the scoreboard.
“Great win tonight in the first round of the playoffs,” said Coach Sean Doherty. “We had well-balanced scoring throughout the game from our veterans and the team looks forward to the next game.”
The Hornets take on Brunswick School in the semifinals on Thursday, February 22, at 5 p.m.
