Boys’ Varsity Baseball Outscore FAA Rival

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team took on Fairchester Athletic Association League rival Rye Country Day School on Thursday, April 11, winning 8-1.

Taking the field, the team was fired up and ready to play. Sophomore Nic Scillia pitched five innings, only allowing one run. At the plate, senior Brady Chernovetz led the way with a sacrifice fly in the first inning, allowing one run to score. Junior Asher Wasserman doubled as senior Ryan Lynch and sophomores William Cole and Amato Civitello all singled in the fourth inning to secure the final victory.

Coach Brad Chernovetz noted the team record is now 8-1.

The team returns to the field for an away game against Wilbraham & Monson Academy on Monday, April 15, at 4:30 p.m.
