The Boys’ Varsity Soccer Team traveled for an away game against Christian Heritage School on Monday, September 9, winning 6-5.
Freshman Trin Sukduang scored the first goal for the Hornets to break open the game as senior Tyrese Cedon followed suit and scored the second goal with no assist.
The second half of the game saw action from sophomore Leo Dottori as he scored the third and fourth goals from long field range on direct kicks. Eighth-grader Lucas Maciel netted the team’s fifth goal with an assist from junior Cristiano Fernandes. Sophomore Yavuz Nugay scored the final goal to close out the game with a victory.
“The boys played with a lot of heart despite only having a few subs,” said Coach Michael Moore. “The team pulled together during some very tense moments to secure the win.”
The team takes on Rye Country Day School at home at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex on Thursday, September 12, at 4:30 p.m.
