Live theater returned to the Hamden Hall campus as 40 Upper School students performed in the on and off stage play, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon.
The play tells the fairy tale stories of the Brothers Grimm including Snow White, Cinderella, and Hansel and Gretel through a fast-paced, rollicking ride. The production is "a wild, free-form comedy with lots of madcap fun," said theatre teacher and director Lisa Daly.
And while this is the first production to return to our stage, it does so with a unique twist on the format. Some students will perform on stage while others appear to the audience through a live audio and visual feed - utilizing various campus spaces.
"The tech element is complicated, took a lot of trouble shooting, and is totally worth it! Our performers can safely perform without masks so we can see their beautiful faces," said Ms. Daly.
