David Findlay, Father of Hamden Hall Staff Member

David Findlay, a longtime resident of Guilford, Conn., died on Sunday, February 11 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Haven. He was 92. David was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Marie, and his son Erik. He is the father of Hamden Hall staff member, Mark "Wolf" Findlay. Besides Mark, David is survived by two other children, David Findlay and Sharon Jonynas, daughter-in-law Nancy Ovedovitz, his sister Jean Findlay Ostlund, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

David graduated from Bronxville High School in Bronxville, New York in 1950 and went on to serve in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955. He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, in 1957. He worked for Winchester Western Repeating Arms for 15 years before starting his own business, Guilford Engineering Associates.
