The Boys’ Varsity Tennis Team earned its first win of the season against Marianapolis School on Saturday, April 13, with a score of 5-2.
In the singles match, junior Jacob Schonberger had a nice comeback win during his set with a score of 7-5 and 11-9. Sophomore Max Rickey won his set with a score of 6-2 and 6-4.
In the doubles match, sophomores Kaelen Annes and Cole Christman won their set with a score of 6-0 and 6-4. Senior Will Christman and junior Grayson Nichols won their set with a score of 6-3 and 6-3. Juniors Parker Jones and Neer Patel won their set with a score of 6-4 and 6-3.
“The team is playing with a lot more confidence this year,” said Coach Kevin Brueler. “The experience is paying off and we are winning more of the close matches. It's really great to see how the team has progressed over the last two seasons.”
