The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team welcomed Hopkins School for an afternoon game on Tuesday, April 26, winning 3-1.
Taking the field at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex, sophomore and starting pitcher Nic Scillia took the mound for five innings, striking out seven players and only allowing three hits. Senior Gavin Lyons closed out the game for the Hornets, striking out four players and walking none.
At the plate, seniors Nicholas Criscuolo, Will McGarry, and sophomore Billy Cole each had two hits respectively. Senior Ryan Lynch hit a sacrifice fly that allowed one run to score.
The team stays home for its next game against Greenwich Country Day School on Thursday, April 18, at 4:30 p.m.
